This exhibition by Chick McGeehan will feature work inspired by Irvine Harbourside where he lives and works. Chick intends to display a body of work which will show a departure from his usual approach to this subject. “The work will feature a distinct change from the popular realism of my paintings of boats and harbour views, focussing more on close observation of surfaces and textures leading to an exploration of abstract possibilities. I have wanted to do this for some time. There is beauty in decay and corrosion, in old timbers, in rusty metal, in stone and old ropes”
